Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT) helps parents of autistic children aged 2–11 improve social communication. Using video feedback, we guide caregivers to recognize and respond to their child’s unique cues during daily routines and play.

Developed in the early 2000s at the University of Manchester, PACT is grounded in speech pathology research. It focuses on strengthening the parent-child relationship to create more natural opportunities for interaction and skill development.

PACT Therapy

PACT is a parent-mediated therapy, meaning it relies on parental involvement to help children develop communication skills in daily life. Because parents play an essential role, participants are expected to record video sessions with their child at home, engage in recorded play and communication activities, and review these videos with a therapist to identify effective strategies. Additionally, parents set goals for home practice and consistently apply these techniques during everyday interactions.
